Scotland at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards: Here are all 11 Scottish nominations since the first awards in 1981 - and the four Scots who have won

It’s been a while since the last Scottish win at the awards.
Tomorrow will see the latest winners of the Edinburgh Comedy Awards crowned - from 13 shortlisted shows.
For this third year in a row not a single Scottish act has made the grade, with some in the industry hitting out at the perceived snub to local comedians - the last time a Scot won the main prize was Richard Gadd a decade ago.
Awards organisers Nica Burns and Emma Brünjes told The Scotsman Scottish comedy is “sowing the seeds for the future”, saying they were “sure” Scots would appear on the list in the coming years, citing the rise of young Scottish talent.
Known previously as the Perrier Comedy Awards, the if.comedy awards, and the if.comeddies, the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, are the biggest prize in British comedy.
The first winners back in 1981 were a talent-packed Cambridge Footlights featuring Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Tony Slattery and Emma Thompson.
Other names catapaulted to fame by the award over the years include Steve Coogan, Jenny Eclair, The League of Gentlemen, Dylan Moran, Al Murray, Tim Key, and Emmy-winning Baby Reindeer star Richard Gadd.
Last year Sam Nicoresti became the first trans comedian to win the Main Prize for her show Baby Doomer, while Ayoade Bamgboye took home the prize for Best Newcomer and was later snapped up to star in Saturday Night Live UK.
Here are all 11 Scots nominated for Best Show and Best Newcomers - and the four who went on to win.
