It is officially week two of the Great British Bake Off, with bakers attempting not to crumble under pressure during Biscuit Week.

After no bakers were eliminated during the series premiere, week two of the Great British Bake Off will need the bakers to stay calm and keep baking.

The series 17 contestants were put through their paces with cake week, and now must take on Biscuit Week. With a full batch of bakers still in the tent, more than one could be in trouble if they crack under pressure.

But what twisty challenges have the judges pulled from the oven for week two of the Great British Bake Off?

What week is it on Bake Off tonight? Episode 2 theme

This year’s amateur bakers will be doing their best to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Nigella Lawson as they tackle three suitably imposing Biscuit Week challenges.

Instead of a familiar bake from the home of Bake Off, the judges have tasked the contestants with creating American-style cookies in the signature. As for the technical, there’s another twist designed to catch bakers out - they must recreate iced gems, a nostalgic classic, from taste alone.

Finally, the week two showstopper will see the bakers create a visually striking biscuit mosaic which should be modelled after something they love.
