Black Friday boost: Three more big names will open at huge Scottish shopping centre next week

“We are confident all three new openings will be a big hit with our shoppers” – Simon Eatough

The clock is ticking down to the opening of a trio of new stores at one of Scotland’s largest and busiest shopping centres.

The Works outlet is due to open on Thursday, November 27 within The Centre in Livingston, West Lothian, while Flying Tiger Copenhagen launches a day later, on Black Friday, and pop culture retailer Miniso on Saturday 29.

The three new arrivals follow on from the recent opening of Wingstop and jewellery and watch retailer F.Hinds at the vast mall, which is home to more than 150 shops and restaurants, including M&S, Flannels, River Island, JD Sports, Wagamama and Nando’s. The Centre racks up almost 15 million customer visits a year.

Simon Eatough, director at LCP UK, part of M Core and asset manager of The Centre, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming three new brands to The Centre, Livingston, The Works, Flying Tiger Copenhagen and Miniso which is great timing, just ahead of Christmas.

“Alongside our existing mix of great places to shop and dine out, which has been enhanced even more this year with many exciting new arrivals, we are confident all three new openings will be a big hit with our shoppers.”

The Centre has welcomed various other brands this year including Starbucks, Aunty Anne’s, XXXTra and the country’s first darts store, ArrowHeadz. Pizza Dawgz and Cake Box are expected to open early next year and Marble Buffet in the summer, which will be its first site in a Scottish shopping centre.

The mall is also planning to expand into the leisure sector with the opening of Hollywood Bowl in 2026, featuring 22 lanes, an arcade and a bar and diner.
