Esh Border looking to build on Scottish market growth

Building firm Esh Border Construction has moved into larger premises in West Lothian as it continues to expand since establishing a base in Scotland last year.

The company, the Scottish arm of Cumbria-based Esh Group, was launched in Livingston and has won a clutch of contracts worth around £10 million with local authorities and the NHS.

Its workload includes a £2m contract to extend three primary schools for West Lothian Council, a £1.6m contract with NHS Borders to build a health centre and a £645,000 contract with City of Edinburgh Council to renovate a school gym and assembly hall.

Simon Phillips, Esh’s managing director for Scotland, said opening a base north of the Border “has proved to be a fantastic springboard for growth”.
