Popular pet shop chain unveils the 16 Scottish locations where it wants to open new stores
“We’re on a mission to make high-quality pet care accessible to all” – Warren Bester, Jollyes Pets
A pet store chain has 16 Scottish towns and cities in its sights as it pushes ahead with an ambitious five-year expansion plan.
Jollyes Pets has revealed a target list of more than 160 potential new locations across the UK. In Scotland it has its eye on Aberdeen, Ayr, Bishopbriggs, Coatbridge, Dumfries, Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Elgin, Falkirk, Glasgow, Hamilton, Inverness, Livingston, Motherwell and Paisley.
Already operating from 120 stores, the retailer has continued its 2026 growth with new sites in Blackpool, Ponders End, Hartlepool and Whitehaven. It could secure up to 25 additional locations this year, with a focus on major conurbations including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Nottingham, Manchester and areas within the M25 around London.

The company’s property team is said to be looking for locations between 3,000 and 7,000 square feet on retail parks and/or prominent roadside locations. The search is being managed by Edgerley Simpson Howe in England and Wales and Savills in Scotland.
Property director Warren Bester said: “We’re on a mission to make high-quality pet care accessible to all, investing in range development alongside our commitment to low prices.
“Wherever we open a store, we become the location of choice for pet parents in the community who value our combination of low prices and brilliant service from colleagues with real expertise in pet care.
“We’re looking forward to bringing that special combination to as many places as we can over the next five years.”
Over the past three years, Jollyes has almost doubled the number of stores across the UK, becoming a clear challenger brand in the UK pet retail market. It was named as one of The Sunday Times’ best big companies to work for in 2024, and in 2025 won the Retail Week Award for Head Office Heroes following its successful raw frozen food roll out.
The retailer also confirmed the opening dates for its next three stores. It intends to open in Lincoln (May 15), Kidderminster (May 29) and Yeovil (June 19). The chain also plans to open a new branch in Derby in early summer.
