Glasgow incident: Man, 56, arrested after armed police evacuate homes during disturbance
Homes were evacuated and roads were closed during the incident which lasted several hours.
A 56-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident in a residential area of Glasgow which saw nearby residents evacuated and roads cordoned off.
Police said they attended a property on Drumlaken Street at around 9.50am on Monday in connection with an ongoing investigation.

They said a “disturbance” followed and specialist resources, including firearms officers, attended as a precaution.
On Monday evening, officers said the roads which were closed have since reopened and residents who were evacuated could return to their homes.
Sergeant Jono Adams said: “I’d like to thank the local community for their support and patience while officers were in attendance.
“While enquiries remain ongoing, there is no longer disruption to the area and no wider risk to the public.”
