Edinburgh crime: Man, 40, charged over 'serious assault' on city centre street

A man was rushed to hospital after the alleged attack.
A 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Edinburgh city centre.
The alleged assault happened on Clerk Street on August 12 . One man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
The 40-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
