Newcraighall incident: Train services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank disrupted after 'lorry strikes bridge'
A man has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.
Trains between Edinburgh and Tweedbank faced significant disruption after reports of a skip lorry hitting a bridge in Newcraighall.
ScotRail said it was cancelling or revising services around 1pm on Wednesday due to an incident on the Borders line between Brunstane and Newcraighall.

The train operator later confirmed that teams were inspecting a rail bridge after a collision involving a lorry. Several buses at Newcraighall were also diverted.
Just before 3pm, the train operator confirmed the line had been reopened, with services between Edinburgh and Tweedbank no longer affected.
Police said a man had been charged in connection with road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.50pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, we received a report of a skip lorry striking a bridge on Newcraighall Road, Edinburgh.
"A man was charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will submitted to the procurator fiscal."
