It's now almost a month since the Belfast City Marathon.
The fact that it takes place on a Sunday has brought criticism from the usual quarters. However, I fail to see what the problem is. People are running – what is wrong with that? Just in the same way someone would go for an inoffensive walk or jog on a Sunday – what's the difference? Furthermore, the overall motivation behind the majority of runners is that of love.
This can be seen from the eye-watering sums of money most of them have raised for a cross-section of charities (such as Marie Curie, N.I. Kidney Research, British Heart Foundation, Motor Neurone Disease and The Teenage Cancer Trust - to name but a very few).
And as God is Love, again I ask – what Is the problem?
