ScotRail Edinburgh to Glasgow trains face disruption due to power outage
Disruption is expected to last until around 10.30am today.
Commuters travelling by train between Edinburgh and Glasgow are facing chaos due to a power outage on the line.
ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow are subject to delay, alteration, and cancellation due to a failure of the electrical supply in the Falkirk High area.
It is understood services from Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street in that direction via Falkirk High will run via Falkirk Grahamston, not calling at Falkirk High.
There is ticket acceptance in place with Midland Bluebird buses on bus number 72 in both directions between Falkirk and Glasgow.
Disruption is expected to last until around 10.30am today.

At 9.18am, a Network Rail spokesperson wrote: “We're carrying out inspections of both tracks through the area to try and determine the cause of the problem, be that the overhead wire equipment or a train.
“This is underway, and we'll share another update shortly. We're sorry if you're affected by this morning's disruption.”
