A road in Dumfries and Galloway has closed northbound after an early morning crash.
Emergency services were called to the M74 near Beattock between junction 16 to junction 15 on Friday morning after reports of a crash.
The road is closed northbound while they remain on the scene.
The Traffic Scotland closure warning, which was published at 5.54am, reads: “The M74 northbound between junction 16 to junction 15 is currently closed, due to a road traffic collision.”

It is currently unknown how many vehicles were involved in the crash, or if there have been any serious injuries.
