"This past week has been one of the toughest our band has faced since we formed in 2010,” it read.

"We would ask, if everyone could continue to keep the Gregg family members in your thoughts & prayers in the weeks and months that lie ahead, we can't imagine the pain & heart break of what they have had to go through this past 2 weeks.

"We as a band are taking a few weeks off from the parading scene & as a mark of respect we have postponed our annual band parade, which was due to take place on Fri 5th of July.

"We have selected a new date for our Annual parade which is Fri 23rd of August & we will be running our parade as a charity band parade in aid of the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance, the Air Ambulance is vital asset to the community which must be protected.

"We invite all bands to come along & support this worthy cause on the 23rd of August & we thank you in advance for your support.

North Fermanagh Young Defenders Flute Band.”

The news comes as a fundraiser set up by Reverend Rebecca Guildea, who presided over the young man’s funeral on Sunday, to support Oisin’s family has hit £10,000.

“So many of us in the community wish to help the Gregg family as they struggle with the loss of a beloved son and brother,” the crowdfunding page states.

“We hope that this money will help Gareth and Mary through the difficult months ahead, and perhaps give them the opportunity to get away with their children over the Summer.”
