I tried to build a full beauty routine from the 24 products inside the Lookfantastic Advent Calendar.

I’m a big fan of beauty advent calendars, but only when the products inside are things I’d genuinely use rather than 24 tiny samples destined for a drawer.

The Lookfantastic Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 costs £120, but Lookfantastic says the 24 products inside are worth more than £665. With brands including Medik8, Clinique, Aveda, Color Wow, MAC and Laura Mercier, there are some genuinely big names behind those doors.

Rather than simply working my way through the calendar, I opened all 24 doors at once to see what you actually get for £120. I wanted to know whether the products could build a proper beauty routine across skincare, haircare, makeup, body care and fragrance, and whether this year’s calendar lived up to previous Lookfantastic editions.

What I liked about the Lookfantastic Beauty Advent Calendar

The biggest strength of this year’s calendar for me is the variety. It doesn't feel as though Lookfantastic has simply filled the doors with similar products. Skincare is probably where the calendar is strongest. There’s the full-size Medik8 Total Moisture Daily Cleansing Gel, worth £29, which immediately makes the calendar feel more substantial than one filled with miniature cleansers.

For me, though, the haircare was another highlight. The full-size Aveda Cherry Almond Shampoo and Conditioner are products I could genuinely see myself using, while Color Wow Kale Cocktail and Hair by Sam McKnight Cool Girl Texture Spray add a bit more variety.

Then there’s the makeup. The Benefit Roller Lash, MAC Fix+ and Laura Mercier Setting Powder included, I could easily incorporate several of the products into a full face. That makes the calendar feel like a proper beauty collection rather than 24 completely unrelated products.

What I didn't like about the Lookfantastic Beauty Advent Calendar

For all the good products inside, there was one omission that genuinely disappointed me. I was really hoping to find a Rodial product.

Rodial has featured in previous Lookfantastic beauty advent calendars, and for me, those recognisable beauty brands are part of what makes opening an advent calendar exciting. This year, I didn't get quite the same wow reaction I usually do.

That's not to say there aren't some impressive names here. The £98 Avant eye cream certainly gives the calendar a luxury feel, and there are plenty of products I know I would use.

Overall verdict

I went into the Lookfantastic Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 wanting to see whether I could create a full beauty routine from the 24 doors, and I think it largely succeeds.

But I have to be honest about the fact that I didn't get the same excitement from this year's calendar that I've had from Lookfantastic in previous years. So my verdict is that this is a good beauty advent calendar with plenty inside that I'd genuinely use, but I don't think it's Lookfantastic's strongest line-up.
