These are the new Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference products that have caught my eye.

I love pasta, but I don’t always have the time or energy to spend ages in the kitchen making a meal from scratch. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for supermarket dinners that promise something a little more exciting than my usual midweek options, without making cooking feel like another chore.

Sainsbury’s has 26 new arrivals in its Taste the Difference range, and three products have caught my eye. From a creamy-sounding chicken pasta dish to a hot melting cheese dip, they look like the kind of additions that could make an ordinary food shop feel a bit more interesting.

Pasta is always an easy one for me, so Sainsbury’s Parmesan Lemon Chicken with Tagliatelle Pasta is firmly on my shopping list. What appeals to me most is the combination of chicken, Parmesan and lemon. I like the idea of a pasta dish that brings together a rich, cheesy flavour with something fresh and citrusy, rather than being another tomato-based dinner.

I’m also tempted by Sainsbury’s Italian Style Tomato & Mozzarella Hot Melting Dip, because I’m a big fan of food that can be shared.Tomato and mozzarella is a classic combination, and the thought of turning those flavours into a hot, melted dip sounds ideal for a relaxed evening at home. I can imagine serving it with crusty bread, toasted slices of baguette or even some crackers for an easy snack.

The Sainsbury’s Marry Me Chicken with Tortiglioni Pasta is a limited-edition.Marry Me Chicken has become a popular flavour combination, often associated with a creamy sauce, garlic, herbs and sun-dried tomatoes. I’m interested to see how Sainsbury’s translates that style of dish into a convenient pasta meal.

I’ll be adding all three to my basket this week. They haven’t made it onto my list because I know they’re going to be amazing I’ll have to taste them first but the flavours sound appealing and they fit the way I like to shop.

I love finding supermarket products that make me look forward to dinner without requiring too much effort. And with more than 26 new arrivals in Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference range, there could be plenty more to discover on my next shop.
