Featuring our map with all of this year’s locations, here is everything you need to know about Nuart Aberdeen 2026.

Walls around Aberdeen will soon be transformed, as Nuart returns to the city for 2026.

After skipping a year due to the Tall Ships Races, the annual street art festival will once again make its mark on the Granite City with a first of its kind theme.

With a majority Scottish line up of artists and nine walls around Aberdeen changed for Nuart 2026, here is everything you need to know.

When is Nuart Aberdeen 2026?

Nuart Aberdeen 2026 will take place from Wednesday, April 22 to Sunday, April 26.

What is the theme of Nuart Aberdeen 2026?

Nuart Aberdeen will make history with its 2026 theme, “Poetry Is In The Streets”.

Curated by Martyn Reed, it will be the world’s first poetry and text-based street art festival.

In an effort to be less predictable, the intention behind this year’s event is for those enjoying it to appreciate the “poetry” and rich history which can already be found around Aberdeen.

Nuart Aberdeen: Every 2026 location and artist

Nuart continues to break tradition this year, with an artwork for the festival to appear indoors for the first time.

There will be an 11-meter long installation inside Aberdeen’s iconic Bon Accord Baths from artist Robert Montgomery, who is well known for his visual poems. He last participated in the festival back in 2017, with a piece based at Jopps Lane in the city centre.

The Scottish artist has been described as a vandal, a street artist, a post-Situationist, a punk artist and the “poet’s Banksy” and his Nuart project was created with former US President Donald Trump in mind.placeholder image

Montgomery isn’t the only returning artist for this year’s event, with homegrown artist KMG creating a mural at Aberdeen University’s Zoology building, facing the Cruickshank Botanic Garden. Those are just two spots which will be transformed by Nuart Aberdeen this year.
