Scottish hotel reopens after extensive makeover - including 'decadent' suites with private terraces, hot tubs and saunas

A city centre hotel has been refurbished by an acclaimed interior designer, just in time for the colder weather.

Inverness’s much-loved boutique hotel Rocpool Reserve has been refurbished by acclaimed interior designer Kathleen Fraser and will remain open throughout the winter season for the first time this year.

The luxury eleven-bedroom restored Georgian mansion, close to the city centre and overlooking the River Ness, now features a refreshed R-Bar. The lounge will be open to locals throughout the winter months, with a new menu offering snacks, light bites, sandwiches and elevated mains.

All eleven bedrooms have also been upgraded, including the most decadent suites, which feature private terraces with hot tubs and a sauna.

To celebrate completion of the refurbishment, the hotel has launched a winter Residency Rate, a reduced flat rate that rewards early bookers with the best available rooms.

Manager Armand Botha was appointed earlier this year to lead the relaunch. He said: “We’re really excited to open the doors of Rocpool Reserve for the winter after putting a lot of work into both the interiors and the bar and restaurant offer.

“We believe there is a gap in the market in Inverness for a relaxed but refined destination for people visiting the city, meeting friends or looking for somewhere for a working lunch.

“We are also working on an events programme in partnership with authors, wellness experts and our own kitchen team, with more announcements coming soon.

“Meanwhile I encourage people to snap up the Residency Rate early to secure the most decadent hotel rooms in Inverness.”
