26 brilliant photos of Scotland fans and the Tartan Army vs Switzerland at Euro 2024 in Koln

Scotland’s clash with Switzerland in the Nations League this week is sure to evoke memories of the last time the two sides met at the European Championship in Germany two summers ago.

Scott McTominay put Scotland ahead early, only for Switzerland’s Xherdan Shaqiri to level shortly afterwards as the teams played out a 1-1 draw in the group stage at the Koln Stadium, before crashing out against Hungary a week later.

However, result aside, the game is perhaps best remembered for the incredible atmosphere the Tartan Army created in the city of Koln, as thousands of Scots descended on Germany for the tournament. Such was the strong feeling of friendship, the Koln city council put forward a motion to twin with a major Scottish city in the days after the game.

For some, it was the first time they saw Scotland at a major tournament abroad, and it left lasting memories for generations of Scotland fans. Did you make it over to Koln for the tournament?
