Rangers will look to go one step closer to the Europa League when they visit Jagiellonia in the third round qualification stage at Stadion Miejski on Thursday night (kick-off: 5pm UK time).
Derek McInnes began his reign as Rangers manager with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Friday, and the 55-year-old boss will be hoping for an improved display in Europe as his side look for a first-leg advantage in north-eastern Poland.
However, their hosts will be looking to continue their perfect start to the new season, having won both of their opening games in the Ekstraklasa division. Having beaten Korona Kielce 1-0 with an 89th-minute winner in their opening league game, Adrian Siemieniec’s side went one better by claiming another late victory, as Sergio Lozano’s 85th-minute strike sealed a 2-1 win over Motor Lublin at the weekend.
