ROSS County’s Victoria Park will be renamed the Global Energy Stadium after £1.7 million of improvements for the SPL.
ROSS County’s Victoria Park will be renamed the Global Energy Stadium after £1.7 million of improvements for the SPL.

The re-branding ahead of County’s top flight bow against Motherwell on August 4th follows huge summer rebuilding work to meet SPL criteria.
Most of the cost of creating a 6000 all-seater ground with undersoil heating for the 84-year-old club has been met by the internationally-successful firm owned by chairman Roy MacGregor.
A new pitch has been laid and new car-parking areas created along with other improvements in and around the stadium.
Club vice-president Gordon MacRae said the name change recognised the strong links between County and MacGregor’s company.
MacRae said: “Ross County and the Global Energy Group have been two of the Highlands’ real success stories. It is no coincidence that they have a chairman in common in Roy MacGregor. I think it is fitting that the close relationship is recognised in this way.”
Global Energy Group managing director Iain MacGregor, the club chairman’s son, said: “These are exciting times for both Ross County and the Global Energy Group. All the hard work that has gone on over the summer has seen the development of a very impressive stadium which we are proud to be so closely associated with.”
