It’s not long until the first match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 - Mexico v South Africa kicks-off on Thursday, June 11, at 8pm UK time.
That game will be followed by five weeks of football, with an incredible 104 games to be played, culminating in the final on Sunday, July 19.
Scotland will get their campaign underway against Haiti on Sunday, June 14, at 2am, as they play their first World Cup game since 1998.
That will be followed by games against Morroco and Brazil at the slightly less antisocial hour of 11pm.
While many will enjoy the games at home, there’s nothing like watching the football with a group of fellow fans.
Luckily, Glasgow City Council has allowed pubs showing the games an extended licence during the tournament, meaning they can stay open until 30 minutes after the last fulltime whistle each night (or, more accurately, morning).
It’s worth saying that pubs are likely to be pretty busy on Scotland match days, so it’s worth booking in advance.
Having said that, from pubs holding special events for Scotland fans to enjoy, to those screening every single match, here are 10 of the best places to watch the football in Glasgow while enjoying a couple of drinks.
