They include Gordon Strachan, who also managed the national team, Scott Brown, Charlie Mulgrew, Allan McGregor, James McArthur, Steven Fletcher and John Hewitt.

Like other son Andy, Judy Murray has recently found a passion for golf, having teed up at Wentworth in the recent past in the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am.

Jamie, who is also a keen golfer, will also be looking to do the Murray name proud on the Old Course at Donald Trump’s Aberdeenshire venue.

The newly-introduced Celebrity Pro-Am at the $3 million DP World Tour event is set to add to the atmosphere in Aberdeen, with more exciting names to be announced shortly.

The event takes place on the eve of Grant Forrest setting out in his Nexo Championship title defence, with Ewen Ferguson and David Law also among the first players confirmed for the third edition of the DP World Tour event.
