Mallorca to stage HotelPlanner Tour Grand Final for another four years
Extension for DP World Tpur feeder circuit’s season finale agreed with Balearic Golf Federation
The battle for DP World Tour cards on the HotelPlanner Tour is set to conclude in Mallorca for another four years beyond this week’s Grand Final.
It follows an extension of the Road to Mallorca being announced by the HotelPlanner Tour and the Balearic Golf Federation.
The DP World Tour’s feeder circuit first visited Mallorca in 2019, with the Island having hosted the season-ending finale seven times since across two venues - T Golf Calvia and Club de Golf Alcanada. The latter is staging this year’s event for the fifth year in a row and sixth time in total.
Ewen Ferguson, now a three-time DP World Tour winner, secured his step up at T Golf Calvia in 2021, with David Law, who has just retained his full card for anorher year, being among three Scots to graduate at Club de Golf Alcanada last year.

Marco Penge and Kristofer Reitan, two potential 2027 Ryder Cup candidates, both won Grand Finals in Mallorca, with the likes of Angel Ayora, Martin Couvra, Casey Jarvis and Daniel Hillier having also secured their DP World Tour cards at the season-ending event in the Balearics.
From 2027 to 2030 - the latter will mark the tournament’s 35th edition - the intention is to visit new top-class courses across Mallorca.
“We are delighted to extend our stay in Mallorca and look forward to continuing to work closely with the Balearic Golf Federation,” said Jamie Hodges, HotelPlanner Tour Director,.
“Club de Golf Alcanada, and T Golf Calvia previously, have been exceptional venues for our season-ending finale since 2019, with our members enjoying a first-class experience both on and off the course.
“Over the next four years, I am excited for the Grand Final to visit new venues in Mallorca as we continue to grow the event across the Island and beyond.”
Bartolomé Tous Aguiló, President of the Balearic Golf Federation, added: “We are delighted that Mallorca will host the Grand Final in 2027. We have worked throughout the season to reach a framework agreement that secures the future of this project, and seeing those efforts come to fruition is a source of great satisfaction for the Balearic Golf Federation.
“The support of the Balearic Government and the Mallorca Council, together with our collaboration with the HotelPlanner Tour, has been instrumental.
“The Road to Mallorca takes our island’s name around the world and gives us the opportunity to enjoy, on home soil, a tournament that plays a pivotal role in the careers of players aspiring to progress to the DP World Tour.”
