Tiger Woods police report throws light on latest car crash
Pills in pocket and 15-time major winner was ‘sweating profusely’
A police report has revealed that Tiger Woods had hydrocodone pills in his pocket and his eyes were bloodshot when he was interviewed at the scene of his latest car crash last week.
The incident report released on Tuesday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office also stated that the 15-time major winner had been observed by officers at the scene as lethargic, slow and “sweating profusely”.
According to the report, deputies found two white pills, which were identified as the opioid hydrocodone used to treat pain, in the 50-year-old’s pocket. In reply to being asked by a deputy if he took any prescription medications, Woods said: “I take a few.”

The report also stated that Woods, who was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, had told officers that he had been looking at his mobile phone and adjusting the radio when he clipped a truck in front of him, causing his Range Rover to flip on his side.
Woods walked away from the incident and did not appear injured. However, he has also been charged with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after refusing to submit a urine sample.
Augusta appearance in any shape or form now unlikely
A fourth car crash involving the former world No 1 came as he was weighing up the possibility of playing in next week’s Masters, which now seems very unlikely.
Other than teeing up in an indoor event in Florida last week, Woods last competitive outing was in The Open at Royal Troon in 2024.
The five-time Green Jacket winner is due to open a new nine-hole par-3 course called The Loop as part of a grand re-opening of The Patch, the municipal course in Augusta, during the season’s first major.
However, the likelihood of that happening now appears to be slim due to Woods having once again put himself in the spotlight for a wrong reason.
