Two venues return and revamped season finale for 2026 Tartan Pro Tour

Paul Lawrie tees up another cracking circuit in Scotland, describing schedule as ‘strong’

Return visits to Royal Dornoch and Fairmont St Andrews plus a revamped season finale have been announced as part of the 2026 Tartan Pro Tour schedule.

The Scottish-based circuit will feature a total of 15 events this year, with two cards on the HotelPlanner Tour, the DP World’s feeder tour, being up for grabs once again.

The 2026 campaign will get underway at Royal Dornoch on 28-30 April before two events take place in May - the first at Montrose Golf Links on 13-15 May and the second at a venue to be confirmed either week commencing 18 May or 25 May.

It will be the sixth successive season that a tournament has been held at Montrose Golf Links on the Paul Lawrie-run circuit.

In its second staging as a Tartan Pro Tour ranking event, the Scottish Par 3 Championship takes place at Paul Lawrie Golf Centre on 11-13 June before, as part of an ‘Aberdeen Swing’, Portlethen and Newmachar host back-to-back events on 15-17 June and 24-26 June.

Busy mid-summer spell on cards

A visit to Macdonald Cardrona on 1-3 July kicks off a busy mid-summer spell, which also includes events at Blairgowrie (5-7 July) and Downfield (22-24 July).

Leven Links is next up on 17-19 August before Fairmont St Andrews, where the tour last visited in 2023, welcomes back members for an event on the Torrance Course on 31 August- 2 September.

Macdonald Spey Valley is next up on 8-10 September before the Jubilee Course in St Andrews sees players heading back to the Home of Golf on 21-23 September.

On the back of a successful first visit last season, Duddingston in Edinburgh will then host the penultimate tournament on 21-23 September.

This year’s season finale will be on the Centenary Course at Gleneagles on 7-9 October and, instead of a limited field, it will see up to 90 players battle it out for bumper points.

In addition to playing for the chance to be teeing it up on the HotelPlanner Tour next year, members will also be vying to get into the Scottish Challenge, which takes place at Schloss Roxburghe near Kelso in early August.

‘It’s another strong schedule’

Another carrot is the opportunity for the leading players on the Tartan Pro Tour Order of Merit at an August cut-off point to bypass stage one of the DP World Tour Qualifying School.

“It’s another strong schedule,” said Lawrie, the tour’s commissioner. “It’s great that in our seventh season since starting the Tartan Pro Tour that we are now a Satellite Tour to the HotelPlanner Tour and DP World Tour, giving players the opportunity to progress and develop.

“I’m so grateful to our partner venues, our sponsors for their investment in the development of talent through financial backing. They each play a huge part in forging the reputation of the Tartan Pro Tour.”
