Under the Radar: BRSR

BRSR’s growing army of fans have a string of live shows to look forward to this summer, write Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon
Operating independently through their own label, Relative Action, Glasgow alternative rock band BRSR are building a loyal following with a fiercely DIY approach. Championed by Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio (in both the UK and the US), they've also attracted support from Tenement TV, Resonate, Radio Wigwam and Germany’s Kickdrum.
Their debut album A Field Of Manmade Fires, released in February this year, secured several accolades via BandCamp, including a Top 100 Alternative Album spot, with the release also coinciding with a sold out Glasgow launch party.
Catch them live this Thursday on the Seedlings stage at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival in Beauly near Inverness, followed by a hometown gig at Lucky Strike in Glasgow on 29 August and shows at The Castle Hotel in Manchester on 24 September, Star of Kings in London on 25 September plus an Irish tour in October visiting Limerick, Dublin and Belfast. In November, the group embark on their debut European tour with dates throughout France and Italy, see https://www.instagram.com/brsr.__
