If you have the fear of missing out, use our searchable table to find concerts happening in Scotland before the end of the year.

With the end of 2025 now fast approaching, the most wonderful time of year can soon feel hectic.

And while some would rather curl up and stay inside where it’s warm, for those looking to make the most of the holidays – without going Christmas mad – it can sometimes be a struggle to find something to do.

But if you are a fan of music with a few evenings to spare before 2026 arrives, we have some suggestions to keep you entertained.

While some take place exactly on New Year’s Eve – such as Wet Leg’s Edinburgh Hogmanay show with Hamish Hawk and Lucia and the Best Boys – there are plenty more spread out over the coming weeks.

From big arena shows from legendary Ska band Madness and critically acclaimed rockers Wolf Alice, to smaller intimate gigs from the likes of Scotland’s own Mercury Prize nominated artist Jacob Alon, there is sure to be something to meet your taste.

While the list is by no means exhaustive, why not take the chance to try something new even before making your New Year’s Resolution?

Some of the shows may already be sold out, but it’s always worth keeping an eye out on venue social media pages, in case of any last minute ticket releases. In addition, you can always purchase verified resale tickets using sites such as Ticketmaster, which now offer fan to fan reselling.

If you’re willing to take a chance on third-party sites, there is always “ethical” reseller Twickets, which only allows fans to sell their tickets for their original cover price in order to help genuine fans avoid ticket touts.

If you have too much going on with Christmas, don’t worry - you can always start looking for gigs to go and see next year.

Already there are hundreds of artists who have lined up gigs in Scotland for 2026, from festivals like TRNSMT to solo Summer Sessions sets as well as both stadium and arena tours.

Highlights include Scotland’s own Biffy Clyro who will start the New Year with by playing cities including Glasgow and Aberdeen in January, as well as those later in the year such as Calvin Harris’ two huge Hampden Park shows in August.

With more shows being announced for Scotland every week, why not subscribe to our arts and culture newsletter so you never miss a beat?
