The three-time Brit Award nominees are coming to Scotland.

Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit have announced a new UK tour, including a date in Scotland.

Comprising sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, the band have built up a large following since rising to fame thanks to posting a cover of Fleet Foxes' song Tiger Mountain Peasant Song in 2008.

Since then there have been five studio albums, most recently 2022’s Palomino, which charted at number three in the UK album charts.

Along the way they’ve been nominated for Best International Group three times at the Brit Awards and seen their song Emmylou named one of the songs of the year by Rolling Stone magazine.

Now they are heading back out on tour and there’s good news for Scottish fans, with a Glasgow gig.

First Aid Kit have announced a string of UK dates as part of their European tour, including Glasgow, as follows.

January 19: Waterfront Hall, Belfast
January 20: O2 Academy, Glasgow
January 22: O2 City Hall, Newcastle
January 23: O2 Apollo, Manchester
January 24: Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
January 25: New Theatre, Cardiff
January 27: Brighton Dome Concert Hall
January 28: Eventim Apollo, London

When do tickets go on sale for First Aid Kit’s Glasgow gig?

Tickets go on general sale here at 10am on Friday, October 9.

Are there any presales for First Aid Kit’s Glasgow gig?

As has become common there are a number of ways to get your hands on tickets early.

If you join the band’s mailing list here you will get access to the fan presale starting at 10am on Wednesday, October 7.

Customers of O2 Mobile will also be able to get tickets from10am on Wednesday, October 7 via their Priority app.

How much are tickets to see First Aid Kit in Glasgow?

The prices have yet to be confirmed but, judging from similar gigs at the venue - and their previously announced European gigs - expect to play between £40-£50 for a ticket.
