Megadeth have announced a massive Glasgow arena show as part of their upcoming UK tour.
The Grammy-winning “Big Four” metal band will perform at the OVO Hydro as part of their upcoming farewell tour, with stops also planned for cities including London, Nottingham, Manchester and more.
Megadeth last played the Scottish venue last October while supporting Disturbed. For their Glasgow show, they will be joined by Black Label Society and Testament, with the Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations tour to kick off in Belfast next March.

Megadeth Glasgow: Here’s when legendary metal band will headline the OVO Hydro
After kicking off their tour in Northern Ireland, Megadeth will play Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Tuesday, March 16 next year.
One of eight upcoming shows, here is the full list of the band’s 2027 UK tour dates:
- Tuesday, March 9 2027 — Belfast O2 Belfast
- Thursday, March 11 2027 — London OVO Arena Wembley
- Friday, March 12 2027 — Nottingham Motorpoint Arena
- Saturday, March 13 2027 — Manchester Co-Op Live
- Monday, March 15 2027 — Cardiff Utilita Arena Cardiff
- Tuesday, March 16 2027 — Glasgow OVO Hydro
- Thursday, March 18 2027 — Birmingham BP Pulse Live

When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for Megadeth’s UK tour will go on sale from 10am on Friday, August 7.
These will be available from from sites including Ticketmaster and AXS.
If you are hoping to secure tickets, here are some tips to help you out:
- Sign up for an account with your preferred ticket site in advance of the sale beginning
- Log in early and make sure your card/payment details are up to date for faster checkout
- If using a site such as Ticketmaster, join the waiting room which will open 15 minutes before the sale starts
- Make sure that you are somewhere with a stable internet connection, avoid using a VPN and clear your browser cache to avoid any technical issues
- Use only one browser tab and one device when attempting to purchase tickets.
Megadeth presale Glasgow
If you don’t want to wait until general sale begins on Friday, there are several Megadeth presale options which will let you get ahead of the masses.
First up is Cyber Army presale which is exclusive for Megadeth fan club members, which costs £53 per year - including exclusive merch and more - or the £16 digital membership which gives access to the online Cyber Army community as well as early ticket access. Members will receive a unique code to access Cyber Army presale, which will begin at 10am on Tuesday, August 4.
There is also Megadeth artist presale, likely for fans subscribed to their newsletter, which will begin at 10am on Wednesday, August 5.
For O2 or Virgin Media customers, there is Priority presale from 10am on Wednesday, August 5. This can be accessed on the official Priority app.
For their Glasgow and London shows, OVO customers will be able to access Megadeth tickets through the OVO Live presale which will begin at 10am on Wednesday, August 5.
Exclusive just for Megadeth’s Glasgow tour date is venue presale which will kick off at 10am on Wednesday, August 5. To access this presale, fans can sign up for the official Scottish Events Campus (SEC) newsletter here.
There are just two additional presale options available, both opening a day ahead of general sale.
Fans can sign up here for access to the Live Nation presale for Megadeth, which will begin at 10am on Thursday, August 6.
Finally, there is Spotify presale for fans who listen to Megadeth on the streaming platform. Eligible listeners will receive an email with their code to access the exclusive presale from 12pm on Thursday, August 6.
How much are Megadeth tickets?
Ticket prices for Megadeth’s Glasgow show will range from £72.60 to £184 - though this will vary based on whether you’re sitting or standing, as well as fees.
There are also OVO Hydro premium tickets which will cost from £136 to £151 per person.
Are there any age restrictions?
Yes, fans going to see Megadeth in Glasgow must be over 14 to stand and anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.
Any children in attendance must be at least 8 years old.
Who is Megadeth’s Glasgow support act?
For their show at the OVO Hydro next year, Megadeth will be joined by metal heavyweights Black Label Society and Testament.
They will support the band throughout all of their Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations tour dates.
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine said: “When we started talking about this tour, we wanted it to be a true celebration of metal. Black Label Society and Testament are bands we have tremendous respect for, and having them join us makes these shows even more special. This lineup represents decades of heavy music, and it's going to be an incredible night for the fans.”
