What to expect from Percy Jackson season 2?
The synopsis, via Disney, reads: “After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp — the legendary Golden Fleece.
“With help from Annabeth, Clarisse and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival becomes essential to stopping Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood — and ultimately, Olympus.”
What time is Percy Jackson episode 8 out on Disney Plus?
For British users of Disney Plus, it can be hard to keep track of when episodes from a new show will come out. The streamer can occasionally move the release times around, especially when it comes to big franchises like Marvel and Star Wars.
Percy Jackson is due to release at 12am PT/ 3am ET on Wednesday mornings in America, which works out as 8am British time, including tomorrow (January 14). For viewers in Europe, it will come out at 9am CEST.
Who is in the cast of season 2?
The second season stars Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson as well as Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood. The main cast also includes Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue and Daniel Diemer as Tyson.
There will also be a star-studded roster of recurring and guest stars including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jason Mantzoukas, Glynn Turman, Timothy Simons, Virginia Kull, Courtney B. Vance, Andra Day, Adam Copeland, Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho, Kristen Schaal, Tamara Smart, Rosemarie DeWitt, Toby Stephens and more.
Will there be a season three of Percy Jackson?
Back in the late 2000s and early 2010s, the first adaptations of the best-selling book series only made it to two movies. It adapted both the Lightning Thief and Sea of Monsters, but no further.
The Disney Plus series is wrapping up its adaptation of the second book - but there is exciting news on its future. Rick Riordan’s original series had five books, he has also penned spin-offs and even a sequel series called The Senior Year Adventures.
It means there is still plenty of material left to be adapted. Deadline reported in March last year that the show has been renewed for season three.
Based on the first two seasons, it is likely to be based on the third book in the series: The Titan’s Curse.
