Set your oven to pre-heat because it is almost time for the final of The Great British Bake Off. The 16th series of the iconic cookery competition is coming to an end this week.
After nine weeks of smashing signature bakes, tough technicals, and stunning showstoppers it all comes down to this. Out of the original 12 bakers, just three are left in the tent and will duke it out for the grand prize.
The winner will write their name into the show’s history book and join the 15 previous champions - including the likes of Nadiya Hussain. A clear favourite has emerged and it won’t surprise regular viewers.
But who has left the show over the previous weeks and in which order? Remind yourself of every exit in series 16.
Channel 4 has confirmed the date of the Bake Off final for 2025. See when exactly it will be broadcast this week.

9. Toby - Warwickshire - eliminated
29-year-old business development executive Toby is heading into the Bake Off tent. Currently three years in to his “six month” home DIY renovation project, Toby and his girlfriend Syd now live in Warwickshire with their rescue dog Bex - having been born in Sidmouth. Toby takes a stripped-back, healthy approach to baking, and tends to lean more towards classic recipes and flavours as he believes they are classics for a reason! But it’s bread that is his real passion, baking something different every day. Toby was the ninth baker to leave - and just missed out on the final | Channel 4 Photo: Channel 4

12. Tom - London
31-year-old Tom grew up in London and is a creative entrepreneur. As a teen, Tom feared his secret love of baking would out him. Now, a member of two queer sports teams and with a boyfriend of three years, the game may be up.
