It may only be October, but thoughts are already turning to next summer’s music festivals, with Barcelona’s Primavera Sound having recently announced their full lineup.
With Glastonbury already sold out, music fans who didn’t manage to bag a ticket will be looking at going to the other big British music festivals, with Download expected to make a first announcement by the end of the month.
Meanwhile in Scotland the organisers of TRNSMT haven’t even announced dates for the Glasgow festival - keeping fans waiting to see whether it will even take place.
One of the biggest UK events in recent years has been London’s Wireless Festival which traditionally takes place over a long weekend in early July.
First held in Hyde Park in 2005, it has had various homes across the Capital but in recent years has been held in Finsbury Park.
Originally a more traditional rock festival it now features mainly big name rap and hip-hop acts, with previous headliners including Jay-Z, Stormzy, Drake, Skepta and Nicky Minaj.
But this year’s event had to be cancelled after the programming of controversial headliner Kanye West led to sponsors pulling out of the festival and, ultimately, the rapper being refused entry in the UK due to his history of making antisemetic statements.
There has been no word on whether the festival will return in 2027, but organisers already have approval to stage it so it would seem likely it will go ahead.
If it does, here are the 8 most likely headliners, according to the experts at OLBG.

1. Drake
Rap superstar Drake performed on three consecutive nights at last year's Wireless Festival and was a huge draw. He could be the man to save the festival by returning in 2027. He's the current favourite. | Getty Images

2. The Weeknd
The Weeknd looks like wrapping up his 'After Hours Til Dawn Tour' in Asia at the end of this year and has no touring plans for 2027 yet. He's exactly the sort of artist Wireless love to bag for a European exclusive and is the second favourite to headline a rejuvenated event. | Getty Images for Live Nation

3. Justin Bieber
Notoriously tour-shy, Justin Bieber fans are hoping for live dates next year after the artist dipped his toes into the live waters with performances at the World Cup Final and Coachella this year. If Wireless are looking for a poppier headliner then he could be their man. It'd certainly be an instant sellout and he's the thrid most likely candidate for the gig. | Getty Images for Global Citizen

4. Dave
British rapper Dave cemented his headliner status this year by becoming the youngest UK artist to headline the Reading and Leeds festival twice. He's the most likely homegrown act to be announced for Wireless 2027. | AFP via Getty Images
