How to watch Rangers v Aberdeen in Premier Sports Cup semi-final

Rangers and Aberdeen meet at Hampden Park on Saturday for a place in the Premier Sports Cup final.

The teams come into their semi-final clash in contrasting form with Rangers unbeaten in 10 games across all competitions after the midweek 2-2 draw at with Hearts at Tynecastle while Aberdeen have suffered three defeats in their last four matches.

Rangers are also undefeated in their last seven head-to-head encounters (6 wins, 1 draw) against the Dons. Their sole meeting earlier this season ended in a narrow 1-0 Premiership victory for Rangers at Pittodrie on August 30 thanks to a Lawrence Shankland penalty.

Derek McInnes has recovered from a tough start as Rangers manager following his move from Hearts in the summer and, having knocked out Celtic in the previous round, his side are now strong favourites to reach a first final under his watch.

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson is a man under pressure amid significant supporter unrest following the 1-0 home defeat by Falkirk in midweek but he has proven himself to be a master in cup competitions in recent years.

He lifted the League Cup with St Mirren last season, beating Celtic in the final against the odds, and also made it to two finals in one season with Motherwell in 2017-18. Robinson will be hoping that a reaching a second successive final will help convince both the Dons support and club bosses that he can turn things around at Pittodrie.

The winners will face either Hearts or Hibs in the final with the Edinburgh derby semi-final taking place on Sunday. In the event of a draw after 90 minutes, both semis will go to extra-time and penalties to determine a winner.
